A PLAN

Family Campground & Christian Conference Center

The Christian Family Camp/Conference Center will help to financially support the School of Ministry and Culture Center, while providing spiritual inspiration and cultural education concerning Native Americans.

The Campus will be adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which receives millions of sightseers every year. Hiking, fishing, white-water rafting, plus dozens of other outdoor activities, are common in this area. Campers will be drawn to one of the greatest tourist areas in the United States, with Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (with Dollywood) and Cherokee, North Carolina all within easy driving distance. Cherokee is home to many tourists' sites like the Oconaluftee Indian Village, Museum of the Cherokee Indian, Harrah's Casino and the outdoor drama "Unto These Hills."

At the campground people will bring their families for fun and recreation and receive exposure to Jesus Christ, as well as a new appreciation for Native American history and culture. This will not be the bright lights and crowded lines of a theme park but pure, simple and unobtrusive presentations that provide respect for the land, and maintain the dignity of a people. Conference Center speakers and musicians will be brought in to present the gospel through various means and expressions to campers and local residents. These speakers will also be utilized in the School of Ministry.

In addition, this facility will serve as a major Christian Conference Center for the region. The natural beauty of Cherokee country, with some of the most diverse flora and fauna in the world, will be a perfect atmosphere for Christian conferences and retreats.
